Launch of microfinance deposit-taking regulations forum - 07-05-2008 The Association of Microfinance Institutions (AMFI) in collaboration
with Central Bank of Kenya will officially launch the above mentioned
Regulations on May 7, 2008 at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies
along Thika Road.
The implementation of the Microfinance Act 2006 and the Regulations
when fully implemented will promote the development of stable
Microfinance Industry as an integral part of the formal financial
system.
The planned workshop will enable Microfinance Institutions and other
stakeholders to discuss and understand the New Regulations and the Act
2006.
Venue: The Kenya School of monetary Studies.
Time:
Kshs. 1000/= per participant for AMFI members.
Kshs. 3000/= per participant for Non-members.
Payment can be made by cash to AMFI office or cheque payments can be
drawn in favor of the Association of Microfinance Institutions or
during the registration on May 7, 2008.
